A MALE reader says:

"The Big Bleep is sort of like a Pulp Fiction version of Colomboriding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle through the movies The Maltese Falcon, Alice In Wonderland and The Wizard of Oz, with a bunch of comic book super heroes who are all bouncing back and forth between an X-Rated Harry Potter / Universal Studios / Botanical Garden / Theme Park and a convoluted Las Vegas strip mall in a 5th Dimensional time warp!"

A FEMALE reader says :

"I just finished reading your interesting and compelling book. I thought your sense of humor and writing style were very very good. I laughed many times out loud and enjoyed myself greatly. I must know if you are going to write more about Shadow? The parts of the story involving her were unbelievable, so erotic and tempting and an excellent compliment towards the story and style of the book. Thanks for the great literary effort!"

Synopsis:

The Big Bleep is a satirical tribute to Raymond Chandler's classic American detective story, The Big Sleep, that became the standard for crime stories featuring tough, cynical characters and bleak, dark scenarios.  The principle characters in his book were portayed in film noir by Humphrey Bogart and Laren Bacall.

The Big Bleep is the story of hard-boiled, Harley riding detective Sam Shovel, digging up the truth on a comedic, existential journey of self-realization.  It's an investigation into a universe where a fictional character can become self-aware -- just like in real life!  And, it's the only book that tells the truth about what REALLY happened to the Earth dinosaurs... (really).

ABOUT RAYMOND CHANDLER:

Of Raymond Chandler's seven detective novels, his first, The Big Sleep (1939), is arguably his best. When the novel was published, Chandler was fifty years old. He had already spent five years as a full-time writer of short stories and novellas for the pulp fiction magazine market, and during this apprenticeship had mastered his technique. Although it would be years before the novel received the critical recognition it deserved, the publication of The Big Sleep was a landmark in the history of the American hard-boiled detective novel. In the years that followed, Chandler's style and technique would be widely admired and imitated; his work would help establish the conventions of the genre that persist (in both detective novels and movies) to this day.  In 1946 the book was made into a classic film version starring Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall.
